Excitement Mounts as RFC prepares to bring MMA back to the cajundome Convention center for an Electrifying RFC2
Lafayette, June 14, 2025 – Ragin Fighting Championship is headed by a group of individuals who have a combined 60+ years experience in practicing, coaching and competing at high international levels of martial arts, including the UFC. The RFC group consists of UFC veteran “Crazy” Tim Credeur, UFC veteran Aaron Phillips, BFC former lightweight champion Damon Vincent, and former fighter Curt Arcement. RFC1 in March at the Youngsville Sports complex was a banger of an event. The event sold out days before fight night with UFC stars like Dustin Poirier and Carli Judice in attendance.
Now it’s time for RFC2. RFC2 is set to take place on June 14th at the Cajundome Convention Center. Prepare for an unforgettable evening as adrenaline-pumping action and intense rivalries collide in an epic showdown of skill, strength, and determination with FIVE PRO FIGHTS (including fighters who fought in Bellator and the UFC), 3 TITLE fights, and over a dozen fights on the undercard slated for this event. Fans can anticipate a lineup of elite fighters ready to step into the cage, delivering a heart-stopping display of technique, power, and sheer will.

Fans Eager for Action-Packed Fight Card Featuring Aaron Phillips in the Main Event!
Fans are buzzing with excitement for the main event of RFC2, as Lafayette’s own Aaron “The Dragon” Phillips steps back into the cage in his hometown (since 2013) after fighting all over the world and in the UFC. The seasoned bantamweight is known for his explosive Muay Thai and well-rounded fight game. He’s a fourth-degree black belt in Taekwondo, a BJJ black belt and exciting to watch in the cage.
The card also features regionally renowned PRO fighters, each bringing something special to the table.
Eric “Easy E” Scallan
A seasoned middleweight with an 18-7 professional record, Eric Scallan is a veteran of Bellator and a staple of Louisiana’s fight scene. Representing Gladiators Academy, Scallan brings knockout power, grappling savvy, and years of cage experience to RFC 2. He’s ready to fight in front of Acadiana again.
Hunter “Headshot” Smith
With a professional record of 5-1 and four finishes by TKO, Hunter Smith is an exciting lightweight prospect from Louisiana. Known for his crisp striking and killer instinct, Smith is looking to make another statement on this stacked card.
Melvin “The Young Assassin” Guillard
A true legend in the sport, Melvin Guillard boasts a 32-22-2 record with 21 knockouts and a résumé that includes long runs in the UFC and Bellator. One of the most explosive strikers to ever come out of New Orleans, Guillard’s presence adds serious star power to RFC 2.
Elliot “Be Good” Hebert
Elliot Hebert is a 3-2 pro fighter with a reputation for toughness and versatility. A local favorite who trains out of his gym, The SHED, Hebert is always game and brings grit, heart, and a well-rounded skill set to every bout. He’s “electric” to watch.
Vance Shaw
Vance Shaw made an unforgettable pro debut at RFC 1, submitting his opponent with a flying guillotine right in front of UFC superstar Dustin Poirier. Now 1-0 and training out of Headkicks MMA, Shaw is an emerging talent in the bantamweight division and a fighter to keep your eyes on.
